Situated upon dramatic cliffs above the emerald waters of the Pacific Ocean in Careyes, Mexico, Casa Torre boasts a magnificent view of the beach below, Playa Rosa, Teopa Beach and others beyond.
Designed by Diego Villaseñor, the house is comprised of a series of tropical thatched roof palapas and open living areas that offer cliff-side views of the ocean. The main palapa, with a ceiling height of over 7 meters contains the open-air living and dining area while ancillary palapas contain five very private bedrooms, each with a king bed, ensuite bath and terrace or balcony. The exotic gardens are designed by renowned landscape artist Eric Nagelmann of Lotusland.
Casa Torre is known for it's peerless service and exquisite food and drink. Our professional staff will greet you upon arrival, and attend to you and your guests, while respecting your privacy. You will be served local fare that utilizes only the freshest ingredients.
Careyes, which translates into 'tortoise,' can only be described as a piece of paradise conceived and meticulously developed by Italian entrepreneur Gian Franco Brignone. Home to hundreds of species of birds and a nesting ground for the native sea turtle, Careyes is secluded within a protected biosphere that stretches along the wild Pacific coast of Mexico.
Private beaches for sun bathing, boating, spear fishing, fishing for dorado marlin, sailfish and tuna; horseback and polo; and whale watching are just part of the allure of the stunning coastline. The Cuixmala Preserve and the Brignone Foundation ensure that Careyes will remain one of the most protected enclaves in Mexico.
Located in a private gated community, Casa Torre has 5 spacious bedrooms, each with king bed, bath, and air conditioning. High-speed internet (Wi-Fi) is available in the main Palapa. An infinity swimming pool has a separate bath, changing room and shower. Massage, manicure, yoga, shaman, and therapist are available by appointment. Daily laundry service is provided.
A 24 ft. Boston Whaler, 'The Medusa,' is anchored below the house in front of Playa Rosa, with captain, and is available for use for outings to beaches and bird preserves, or for fishing and picnics.
The nearest Cuixmala Ecological Preserve can be toured by appointment to learn more about the surrounding unique biosphere that created a "dry jungle." Local wildlife includes the Frigate bird, Roseate Spoonbill, brown Pelican, Coatimundi, wild boar, jaguars, and sea turtles.
